How to Encrypt a Field
NOTE: Encryption cannot be turned off, you must delete the field and re-add it. You also cannot export encrypted data. Once encrypted it can only be decrypted in the Submissions Manager.
This article will focus on how to utilize our Encrypt a Field feature. We will review how to access the feature in SeamlessDocs and in WebForms.

Also, if at any time you decide to change your password, please keep in mind that you will still need to use the original password to access any forms that were submitted prior to the change.

Use Cases
In GovOS Studio, a great way to utilize the field encryption feature is when requesting a user to input their social security number. Since social security numbers contain sensitive information, the encryption adds security and peace of mind for your citizens.
