Setting the Max Character Limit- SeamlessDoc (Uploaded PDF)

When using a SeamlessDoc, you will only be able to set the max character limit on a multi-line text field. If you have a single-line text field, click on the field and click on the gears icon to open up the field settings. When the field settings window opens up, you will see the Field Type heading and be able to select multi-line field from the drop down menu. This will populate the max character length field (right under the required toggle).

After setting the max character length, applicants will only be allowed to enter up to that length in the Live View of your form. Applicants will not be able to add more than the allotted characters.

Setting the Max Character Limit- WebForm

Unlike SeamlessDocs (uploaded PDFs), when using a WebForm, you will have the option to set the max character limit on single line and multiple line inputs. Once again you can click on the field and click on the gears icon to open up the field inspector (field settings). When the field inspector opens up, you will see the max character length field under the label alignment field.

Just like on a SeamlessDoc, after setting the max character length, applicants will only be allowed to enter up to that length in the Live View of your form. Applicants will not be able to add more than the allotted characters.
