What is the Signature Invite Email

The Signature Invite notification is an email that is sent to signers, requesting their signature on a form.

When is the Signature Invite Triggered

The Signature Invite email can be triggered in 4 ways:

  1. File→ Share… Send Invite (if first signer is known)
    a. If first signer is unknown, will need to enter in email address manually before clicking Send Invite button

2. Invite Signers button in the Doc Editor
a. If first signer is unknown, will need to enter in email address manually before clicking Send Invite button

3. Send button in Live View that appears when first signer is known
a. Can customize the message
b. If the first signer is a known list, the name of the first person from the known list will display and you can click on the name to view and select the appropriate first signer from the list

4. After a signer signs and submits and the form is routed to the next signer- known as the Signature Requested email
a. Subject line will default to Signature Requested: followed by the name of the form
b. If Submission Notification is turned on and has a custom subject line, then the signature requested email will pick up the same subject line. Will read Signature Requested: followed by the custom subject line from the Submission Notification
